Located at 1100 Lincoln Ave #101, San Jose, CA 95125, Burma Roots operates as a burmese restaurant serving San Jose in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In San Jose, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 amβ2:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (669) 242-7954. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, burmarootssj.com.
Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 138 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded burmese restaurants in San Jose.
San Jose is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Jose follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

It's good. A bit too salty. Service was nice and attentive. The place looks nice and vibrant. A bit too salty for some's taste though. The fried food was also oily. I think getting a stir fried thing is best here.

Good Burmese food at the roots, So if you're in the area, Burma Roots is a great recommendation. We went there for dinner and loved it all - from the fermented tea leaf salad to start, plus the pepper tofu, lemongrass tofu, and garlic noodles. Every dish except the noodle hit the spot, just felt the noodle could've been flavorful Btw they prepare the salad right on the table, upon request, also don't forget to ask for the fiery red pepper sauce if you craved a bit of spiciness.

This place has opened on Old OPA restaurant place. They have kept the decor mainly the same which i loved. Overall service was great. Tea salad was the highlight. Beef fry and Burma noodles were great. We had vegetarians in the group as well and they enjoyed their dishes as well. Definetely must try and we would go their again.

Overall, food is great & the price is fair given their large portions. Would come again. Β± Burma House Noodles are flavorful, although a tad too sweet & could use some spice. Portion is large & good for sharing. Β± Burma Crispy Chicken: also flavorful with a nice crispy outer shell, but is also a bit too sweet and overly saucy. + Atmosphere is pleasant and service is good.

Discover this gem serving Burmese cuisine in Willow Glen. It has been open for about six months . The tea salad, with tea leaves, greens, peanut, seed is a special go to dish. The waiter took the time to mix it up at our table. Its texture and taste are both pleasing to the palate. The Shan Tofu is very unique, it has the subtle sweetness with a crisp skin, unlike other tofu dishes, it is another must try. The pork belly with green mustard is nicely done too. I would come back for the Tea Salad and Shan Tofu.
